About the Role

As a Supply Religious Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will bring secure subject knowledge, flexibility, and a calm, professional approach to each classroom you support. Your teaching will help students build confidence in understanding world religions, ethical debates, philosophical ideas, and contemporary issues. You will establish clear routines quickly, encourage thoughtful discussion, and inspire students to approach RS with curiosity and respect.

Your contribution will support the school’s commitment to providing high‑quality teaching and a values‑led, ambitious curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dynamic and well‑structured Religious Studies lessons that meet KS3 and KS4 curriculum requirements.
  • Help students develop strong skills in analysis, evaluation, and critical thinking.
  • Work in line with school expectations, using provided lesson plans and departmental schemes where required.
  • Create and maintain a calm, organised, and purposeful learning environment.
  • Foster open‑mindedness, respectful discussion, and thoughtful exploration of religious and ethical issues.
  • Provide targeted support for students who may need additional help with confidence, comprehension, or behaviour.

What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level.
