Full time Head of English (Interim) - Summer Term

We are working with a well-regarded secondary school seeking an exceptional English specialist to step in as Interim Head of English for the Summer Term. The school is keen to secure a highly capable practitioner who can maintain strong leadership and outstanding teaching across the department.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the English Department throughout the Summer Term
• Teach English Language and English Literature up to A Level
• Deliver consistently high-quality lessons across all year groups
• Support the continued progress, curriculum delivery, and standards within the department
• Work collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure smooth continuity during the period of cover

The is school is open to:

• An experienced Head of English seeking a short-term leadership post
• OR
• A very experienced English Teacher with a proven track record of excellence who is ready to step up

You must be:

• An outstanding classroom practitioner with English as your main specialism
• Confident teaching both Language and Literature at KS3-KS5
• Able to provide stability, expertise, and strong subject leadership during the Summer Term
