What difference will you make?As a governor at Andoversford Primary School, you will play a key role in helping the school continue to provide the best possible education and opportunities for its pupils. As a small village primary school, strong governance is essential to ensuring that resources are used effectively, school leaders are supported and challenged appropriately, and strategic decisions remain focused on the needs of children and the wider community.
The governing board is relatively new and continues to develop its knowledge, experience and ways of working. This creates a genuine opportunity for new governors to influence the future direction of both the board and the school. Your contribution will help strengthen governance capacity, support long-term planning and ensure the school remains well placed to respond to future challenges and opportunities.
Over the coming years, the board will continue to focus on school improvement, pupil outcomes, financial sustainability and maintaining strong links with parents and the local community. By joining the governing board, you will help ensure that every child at Andoversford Primary School has the opportunity to thrive, achieve their potential and enjoy a positive and enriching school experience.
What are we looking for?We are looking for people who are passionate about improving outcomes for children and supporting their local community. No previous governance experience is required, as training and support will be provided.

As our governing board is relatively new, we are keen to attract individuals who can help strengthen and develop governance capacity while bringing fresh perspectives and ideas. We particularly welcome applications from people who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and from those who are motivated by making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
Above all, we are looking for people with good judgement, integrity, a willingness to learn and the commitment to contribute positively to a friendly and supportive governing board.
