Do you have the communication and teamwork skills to work alongside other professionals to support each student's individual development?

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist post-16 provision in Cheltenham that supports young people with a variety of additional needs, including Autism / ASD, Acquired Brain Injuries / ABI, sensory impairments, physical disabilities and multiple learning difficulties. The setting provides a supportive environment where education is focused on helping students develop practical skills, independence and confidence as they prepare for adult life.

The provision is looking to appoint an SEN Tutor on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026. The successful SEN Tutor will create and deliver personalised learning sessions, establish students' individual starting points and monitor their ongoing development, with experience in areas such as Digital Literacy, Emotional Wellbeing, Forest School, Relationship and Sex Education, Social Enterprise or Work Related Learning particularly welcomed.

The successful SEN Tutor will have:

A relevant teaching qualification

Experience supporting young people with SEND, complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities

Experience planning and delivering individualised learning activities

An understanding of post-16 education and preparing young people for adulthood

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other professionals

A creative, proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
