Full Time Qualified Teacher of Chemistry

We are looking for a temporary, full time Qualified Teacher of Chemistry to join a reputable Grammar school in Maidstone, Kent, from 1st September. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering engaging Chemistry lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will primarily teach Chemistry, with some Biology , across the school's timetable.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress and providing effective feedback through marking. This is a temporary full time role, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday during term time. You will be expected to start on 1st September until 23rd October, with the opportunity to extend further. Salary - £39,000 - £58,000, depending on experience.

About You Previous secondary Chemistry/Biology teaching experience - essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum Confident in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons A strong passion for inspiring students and developing their interest in Science Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the confidence to manage challenging behaviour effectively while maintain positive relationships with students Committed to supporting student's academic progress and well-being Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
