12-Month Contract
An established engineering contractor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of a major infrastructure programme within the energy and utilities sector.
This role offers a blend of design, engineering assurance and project delivery responsibilities across a long-term project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review mechanical and process engineering designs.
- Review PFDs and P&IDs.
- Carry out engineering calculations and technical assessments.
- Specify mechanical and process equipment.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and design risk assessments.
- Support procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Assist with multidisciplinary design reviews and value engineering.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
- Experience with in energy, utilities, industrial or process environments.
- Knowledge of pressure systems, pipework and process equipment.
- Strong understanding of process safety and engineering standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- £450-£500/day
- 12-month contract.
