AboutThe Role
As a Planning Support Team Leader, you will lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing administration team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, accurate, and compliant support to clients and Financial Planners.
This is a people-focused leadership role where you will balance coaching and development with hands‑on operational delivery. You’ll build robust processes and frameworks that support accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the team.
You will be responsible for driving performance through KPIs and skills matrices, overseeing onboarding and training, and championing innovation and digital adoption to improve both client and planner experience. Above all, you’ll ensure that client outcomes, regulatory standards, and business goals are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities Include- Lead, coach and mentor team members, embedding a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Implement structured training, induction, and development programmes aligned to clear career pathways.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and drive measurable improvements in quality and turnaround times.
- Build a strong “right-first-time” culture using error management frameworks, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and FCA regulatory requirements.
- Oversee work allocation and resource planning to ensure resilience across peaks and absences.
- Act as the key liaison with Financial Planners, Paraplanners, and cross‑functional teams.
- Own the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of client and planner data, producing regular reports for leadership.
- Champion digital adoption, workflow standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience in financial services.
