Interim Financial Accountant

About the Role

The Opportunity:

We are supporting a well-established consulting firm with the appointment of an experienced Financial Accountant on an interim basis. This is a key contract role covering a critical reporting period, supporting year-end, statutory reporting and audit deliverables. The role will suit a technically strong, hands-on qualified accountant who can quickly embed into a fast-paced finance function and deliver to tight deadlines.

• Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
• Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS
• Liaison with external auditors and management of audit queries
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control reviews
• Support with technical accounting papers and policy documentation
• Review and improve financial controls and reporting processes
  
  Partner with wider finance and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong technical accounting background
• Proven experience delivering statutory accounts and supporting audits
• Confident operating in a contract/interim capacity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills
