About The RoleYou will be responsible for the delivery of client‑based assignments, ensuring the team’s audit work and reporting is of high quality. This role includes leading and coaching team members as well as managing relationships with clients, and contributing to the success of our business unit through broader business and people development.
The Role Requirements- Studying towards ACA/ACCA qualification
- Experience with corporates desirable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and ideally Case Ware

- Provide on‑job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology.
- Participate in service line, office and firm‑wide activities.
- Act as part of a team or the first point of contact for clients on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills (proficient in Excel and Word).
- Anticipate client needs and communicate effectively in both written and verbal exchanges.
- Act at all times with the Firm’s best interests in mind and act with integrity in all dealings.
- Assist in the planning, execution and finalisation of all audit assignment areas, providing solutions and seeking input for areas of concern and judgement.
- Demonstrate an understanding of risk types and the Firm’s approach and policies for managing risk, following applicable legal and regulatory rules.
- Consider and manage risk (reputational, operational and credit) in all interactions with clients.
- Show a sense of urgency and understand how work quality and speed impact the Firm’s ability to serve clients.
- Produce work for the team leader and Manager and/or Partner review, clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions.
- Demonstrate business development skills and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Approach problem‑solving with an application‑and‑solution based approach and conduct research on delivery of solutions in that field on client assignments.
- Identify areas requiring improvement in clients’ business processes and recommend possible actions; assist with the preparation of Audit Findings reports presented to clients.
- Monitor audit budget progress and explain variances to the Manager.
- Be willing to travel as required to support other UK offices; most time spent servicing clients in and around the Midlands area.
- Ability to execute work efficiently, delivering excellent service and bringing Crowe UK’s full capability to support clients.
- Act as a role model for junior members, providing on‑job coaching.
- Always adhere to the firm’s risk management policies.
- Deliver work to the highest quality.
- Solid understanding and application of UKGAAP accounting fundamentals and applications.
- Provide fast and intuitive analysis; correctly interpret financial data and source documents.
- Effectively participate in the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
- Assist and ultimately lead fieldwork on client sites, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth audit delivery.
