Senior Management Accountant

As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing financial processes and delivering timely management accounts to support decision-making. Your work will help ensure the smooth running of the organisation's financial operations and provide valuable insights for strategic planning.

Description

Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for a portfolio of group companies.
Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where required.
Prepare and submit VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations.
Support the ongoing development and enhancement of financial controls and governance procedures.
Assist with acquisitions by contributing to due diligence activities and post-acquisition integration.
Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
Play a key role in the year-end audit process, coordinating information and liaising with external auditors.
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle through analysis, reporting, and financial insight.
Deliver ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support senior management decision-making.
Contribute to business improvement initiatives, finance projects, and other duties as required.

Profile

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders
