Applied Data Scientist - AI & National Security Programme

We are seeking talented Applied Data Scientists to join a cutting‑edge programme, supporting UK intelligence clients.

You will be part of a programme focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, and modern cloud‑native technologies within a highly secure environment.

As an Applied Data Scientist, you will:

• Work on complex challenges across AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Machine Learning
• Build, train and deploy models using tools such as:
  • Py Torch
  • Tensor Flow
  • scikit‑learn
• Apply modern data science techniques to real‑world, mission‑critical problems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable solutions using cloud‑based tooling

You’ll be operating within an AI Lab‑style model
, where:

• Teams are encouraged to experiment, prototype, and explore emerging technologies

• Innovation is prioritised over maintaining legacy systems

This workstream is expected to be one of the most advanced and technically exciting areas within the programme

• Strong experience in applied data science, machine learning or AI
• Hands‑on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensor Flow or sklearn
• Experience working with NLP or advanced analytics (desirable)
• Ability to move from research and prototyping into production environments
• A mindset suited to experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning

• Active SC (Security Check) clearance is required
• Must be a UK Sole National due to the nature of the work and client requirements
