Role Overview
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. An allowance of £5,000 per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

This job role can be based in Cheltenham, London, Manchester or Ipswich. Due to security requirements, this role requires you to be located on site during your working hours. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. DV Security Clearance is required, and you must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
What you’ll be doing- Owns and leads the Secure ICT function, accountable for the delivery, operation, and continual improvement of a secure IT environment deployed across multiple UK locations, ensuring services are delivered reliably, securely, and within agreed cost and performance parameters.
- Holds overall accountability for the security accreditation and assurance of the ICT estate, ensuring systems continuously meet all relevant UK government and industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NCSC guidance, applicable), and remain compliant throughout their lifecycle.
- Sets the technical and operational direction for secure ICT infrastructure working closely with the CTIO, covering compute, storage, endpoints and associated services, ensuring solutions are designed and operated in line with security, resilience and availability requirements.
- Acts as the senior subject matter expert for secure ICT systems and environments, overseeing the assessment and maintenance of accreditation status, including risk management, control validation and remediation of security findings.
- Establishes and enforces standardised, repeatable operational processes to ensure consistency, auditability and compliance across all sites, including configuration management, patching, incident response and change control.

Essential
- Strong experience of designing, delivering and maintaining IT environments in a strongly regulated and accredited environment.
- Qualifications and experience in the design, delivery and management of enterprise IAM strategies including Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra .
- Experience of Zero Trust access models, MFA and conditional access services.
- Experience of accreditation and regulatory processes (ISO 27001, NCSC guidelines, RMADS creation).
- Implementation of VMWare Cloud Foundations Infrastructure and network segmentation.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows Servicer and Windows 10/11 estates including secure build standards, patching and CIS controls.
