Flexible hybrid working, collaborative agency environment and opportunity to develop your CRO expertise
Our client, a growing digital agency, is hiring a UX Designer to join its digital team and work across a varied portfolio of client projects.
This is a hands‑on UX role with an additional focus on conversion rate optimisation (CRO). You’ll work directly with clients to understand their users, identify opportunities, design effective digital experiences and use data and testing to continually improve performance.
You don’t need to be a CRO strategist already. This is an opportunity for an experienced UX Designer with a user‑centred, data‑informed approach to develop deeper CRO skills and build conversion‑focused design into their toolkit.
What you’ll do- Lead UX design activity across a range of client websites and digital experiences
- Work directly with clients to understand user needs, business objectives and areas for improvement
- Translate research, insight and data into user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and design recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve usability, engagement and conversion
- Design and support experiments and A/B tests as part of ongoing CRO programmes
- Analyse test results and performance data to understand what is and isn’t working
- Recommend UX and conversion improvements based on evidence and user behaviour
- Feed insights and findings into the wider team to help inform broader client strategy
You’ll work closely with clients and internal digital specialists, operating within an established strategic direction while taking ownership of the design, testing, analysis and recommendation process.
What we’re looking for- Commercial experience working as a UX Designer or in a similar user experience role
- A strong portfolio demonstrating user‑centred UX thinking and design
- Experience using research, analytics or user behaviour data to inform design decisions
- Confidence communicating your thinking and recommendations directly with clients
- An interest in CRO, experimentation and improving digital performance
- Experience with A/B testing, CRO or optimisation programmes would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical and comfortable challenging assumptions with evidence. You’ll enjoy combining creative UX thinking with data and want to develop further into conversion‑focused design and optimisation.
- Salary of up to £50,000
- Hybrid working with just 2 days per week required in the Cheltenham office
- Option to work from the office up to 5 days per week if preferred
- Clear opportunity to develop your CRO and experimentation expertise
- Work directly with clients across varied digital projects
- Join a collaborative agency environment where UX, data and performance come together
