Infrastructure Engineer - (ideally DV cleared or able to obtain DV clearance)

My client is currently looking for an experience Infrastructure Engineer (ideally DV cleared or able to obtain DV clearance)

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end life cycle-from design and build through commissioning and live operations-of advanced Building Management Systems, Central Monitoring platforms, and CCTV. Your work will directly safeguard service continuity, strengthen security, and power the reliability of services relied upon every day.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering my client's strategic ambitions-enhancing resilience, advancing security, and driving automation  modernising how they monitor and operate critical environments, you'll enable faster service delivery, reduce operational risk, and build a future‑ready foundation that supports growing customer demand and evolving business needs.

• Architecting and delivering next‑generation BMS, CMS and CCTV systems
• Driving automation‑first infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Power Shell)
• Solving complex platform challenges across compute, storage, and networking
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and operations teams to deliver seamless, end‑to‑end services
• Enhancing platform security, resilience, and performance at scale
• Championing best practices in incident, change, and problem management
• Creating clear, reusable runbooks and engineering standards.
• Continuously improving how to build and run infrastructure-bringing new ideas and technologies into the business

• Proven ability to lead the full life cycle-design, build, commissioning, and live operations-of complex engineering or infrastructure systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems, Central Monitoring platforms, CCTV, or equivalent critical control environments.
• Experience operating within high‑availability, mission‑critical environments where resilience, uptime, and security are non‑negotiable.
• Deep understanding of physical and system security principles, with the ability to identify, mitigate, and manage operational risk.
• Track record of driving automation and Infrastructure as Code, reducing manual intervention, and improving operational performance at scale.
• Ability to design and integrate complex, multi‑vendor systems into cohesive, scalable, and future‑ready platforms.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into clear business value and influence stakeholders across engineering, security, and operations.
• Focus on service assurance, proactive monitoring, and continuous optimisation to enhance availability and performance.
