Lead Dev Ops Engineer | SC/DV Cleared | £75,000 + (DOE)

Sanderson G&D are seeking a Lead Dev Ops Engineer to help design, build and operate highly secure cloud and data platforms supporting some of the UK's most critical National Security and Defence programmes.
You'll lead the delivery of cloud-native infrastructure, drive Dev Sec Ops best practices, mentor talented engineers and work with market leading technologies across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and data platforms.
What you'll do:
Lead the design, build and operation of highly secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
Drive Dev Sec Ops best practices across development and delivery teams
Build and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, reliable software delivery
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using modern automation tooling
Manage containerised platforms and orchestration technologies across cloud environments
Support the deployment and operation of real-time and batch analytics platforms
Troubleshoot production issues and ensuring platform resilience, performance and availability
Implement secure backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions
Contribute to automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices
Mentor engineers and providing technical leadership across delivery teams
Collaborate closely with customers, architects and engineers to solve complex operational challenges.
What we're looking for:
Active SC Clearance and eligibility for DV Clearance.
5+ years' experience delivering production cloud solutions
Strong AWS, Dev Sec Ops and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise
Kubernetes, Docker, EKS/ECS/AKS experience
CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible and automation skills
Leadership and mentoring capability
