EDV Infrastructure Engineer

eDV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer (x2 Roles Available) Cheltenham (3-5 Days Onsite) £550 – £650 per day Outside IR35 eDV Clearance Required ? 12 Month Contract I'm currently looking for two eDV Cleared Infrastructure Engineers to support a long-term programme within a highly secure government environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure platforms, ensuring high levels of availability, performance and security across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities Build, maintain and support enterprise infrastructure across secure environments. Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server estates. Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy. Support VMware virtualisation platforms and associated infrastructure services. Implement system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities. Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues. Work closely with networking, security and engineering teams to deliver resilient solutions.

Produce technical documentation and support operational handover activities. Assist with infrastructure migrations, deployments and refresh projects. Required Skills & Experience Active eDV (Enhanced Developed Vetting) Clearance . Proven Infrastructure Engineer experience within defence, government or other secure environments. Strong experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments. Excellent knowledge of Active Directory , Group Policy, DNS and DHCP. Strong VMware vSphere administration experience.

Experience with enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions. Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewalls. Experience supporting highly available and secure infrastructure platforms. Scripting or automation experience using Power Shell, Bash or similar. Strong troubleshooting skills across server, virtualisation and network infrastructure. Desirable Skills Experience working within classified or national security environments. Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

Understanding of security hardening and vulnerability remediation. Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or Linux certifications. This role is ideally suited to an eDV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in enterprise server, virtualisation and network infrastructure, looking to support critical national security programmes within a complex technical environment.
