Inventory Control & Analysis, Stocking, Logistics Coordination
Your Mission
Hawkstone is one of the fastest-growing premium beer and cider brands in the UK, and is moving onto Net Suite as its new ERP this month
-tightening up how stock is tracked and reconciled across the brewery, third-party logistics partners and College Farm.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you'll own the day-to-day accuracy of Hawkstone's stock: receipts, movements, reconciliations and closure, making sure physical stock and system stock always tell the same story - and digging in fast when they don't.
About the Team
You're the person who can't walk past a number that doesn't add up. You're happy in a process-driven, detail-focused role, day in and day out, and you get real satisfaction from finding the root cause of a discrepancy rather than settling for a quick guess. When month end comes around, you want to be the one confidently explaining exactly what's going on with the numbers - to finance, production or a warehouse partner - not shrugging at a variance.
What You'll Do
Manage goods receipt and stock booking across multiple sites, resolving discrepancies with suppliers, warehouses, production and logistics teams.
Control stock movements - internal transfers, inter-site moves and approved adjustments - tracking each through to completion.
Own month-end reconciliation, investigating variances and maintaining clear action logs until issues are closed.
Investigate stock discrepancies, missed deliveries, booking errors and incorrect locations, identifying root causes and recommending controls to prevent repeat issues.
Manage returns, damages and quarantined stock, owning next steps through to credit, rework, release or write-off.
Review and close purchase orders, batches and transfers once activity is complete, monitoring ageing stock to support accurate month-end reporting.
Work daily in Hawkstone's new ERP system as it rolls out.
Prepare regular reporting on stock accuracy, reconciliations, ageing transactions, discrepancies and quarantine, and support process improvement.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Experience in an inventory, stock control, warehouse administration or supply chain role.
A strong understanding of goods receipt, stock movement, reconciliation and inventory adjustment processes.
Confidence working with inventory or ERP systems, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
Strong Excel and data-handling skills, with the ability to reconcile multiple sources of information.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple open transactions, queries and deadlines.

A methodical approach to investigating discrepancies, retaining supporting evidence and following issues through to resolution.
Experience with in FMCG, alcoholic beverages, brewing or food manufacturing is a plus, as is exposure to multi-site or duty-suspended inventory.
