Estates Operative

Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint an Estates Operative.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Estates Operative supports the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the Dean Close Foundation sites.

The role is primarily based at Dean Close School in Cheltenham, however there may be a requirement to travel to other locations within the Foundation.

The post holder will provide practical, hands‑on support to the Estates team, assisting trades and porters with general maintenance, site upkeep and manual tasks.

A good understanding of health and safety, safe working practices and basic maintenance is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, well‑presented environment that supports the school’s educational ethos, requiring a flexible and professional approach when working alongside academic and residential staff.

This position is subject to DBS clearance and adherence to safeguarding policies.
