Job Overview

Our Premises Management Team are integral to the day‑to‑day running of our school. They are first on site in the morning and last on site in the evening. The team is key to ensuring the environment our students and staff study and work in is operating safely and efficiently.

The team comprises the Operations Manager, Premises Officer and the Caretaker role. A flexible and hardworking team, you will all work together to support the whole school and all school events. The school is on a large site, which includes a climbing wall, sports centre, fitness suite, astro pitch and cricket nets, and is maintained to a high standard by the Premises Management Team, with the help of contractors for grounds maintenance and cleaning.

Maintain the school environment safe, clean, tidy for students to learn, staff to work and to welcome visitors. Be a friendly face to welcome students and families to the school. Work independently or as part of a team, communicating with community members and responding to changing priorities. Predominantly work the early shift (6.30 am to 2 pm), with late shift cover where required.

Approachable, reliable, trustworthy and committed. Have basic maintenance and DIY skills and may have previously worked in a school caretaker or similar role, although this is not essential.

Full time, working term time only, plus INSET days and 2 weeks in the school holidays. Predominantly work the early shift (6.30am to 2pm) with late shift cover where required.
