Housing Services Manager

The Housing Services Manager must oversee the delivery and forward planning of Housing Services, including Benefit and Money Advice, Income, Training and Employment Services and Rent Accounting.

The post-holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective and efficient services that meet internal and external expectations, deliver high-quality performance and provide financial security for the Council.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing and developing teams that deal with a complex caseload of management functions, including the following areas of work:

• Income maximisation including collection of current and former rent arrears
• Collection and management of rechargeable debts
• Arrears prevention and financial inclusion
• Rent accounting and all related matters
• Benefit and Money Advice
• Training and Employment Services

In addition to the above, the post-holder will be responsible for carrying out all 'Year-end' rent and service charge procedures and functions, including:

The post-holder will be required to play a key role in the development and delivery of relevant strategies to support business needs and will be expected to liaise with a range of other agencies at both an operational and strategic level to assist in the development of sustainable communities.
