Electromechanical Fitter / Installer
Cheltenham | Full Time, Permanent
£15.00 - £17.50 per hour DOE + Overtime at 1.5x Rate
Looking for a varied engineering role where no two projects are the same? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist automation business designing, building and installing bespoke machinery and control systems for customers across the UK and North America.
Working from a modern manufacturing facility, you'll be involved in the assembly, installation and commissioning of innovative automation equipment used across a range of industries.
The Role- Mechanical assembly and installation of bespoke automation machinery and systems
- Build conveyors, process equipment and automated production systems from engineering drawings
- Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites
- Assist with basic electrical wiring and control system integration when required
- Work closely with workshop and service teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
- Travel across the UK and overseas for installation projects (typically 30-40%)
Essential
- Experience building or installing industrial machinery, conveyors or automated equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competent using hand and power tools
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
Desirable
- Apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with pneumatic systems, valves or automation equipment
- Electrical assembly or wiring experience
Experience working within manufacturing or food production environments
- Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
