This critical role demands a self-starter capable of producing tangible results, maintaining Ultra PCSs high standards for product quality, safety, and efficiency. Perform rigorous AS9100 audits and assessments of supplier processes, products, and quality management systems to ensure compliance and reliability. Lead decisive root cause analysis for quality issues, swiftly implementing corrective and preventive measures with suppliers to deliver measurable improvements.
Develop and enforce robust quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process controls, taking initiative to optimise performance. Champion supplier development programs to improve overall supplier capability, efficiency, and risk mitigation strategies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies, delivering tangible results in a time-sensitive environment. Monitor supplier performance metrics (e.g., PPM, on-time delivery) and proactively address deviations to maintain operational excellence.
Conduct on-site supplier visits and audits, ensuring alignment to high standards and fast-paced production requirements. Collaborate seamlessly with engineering, procurement, and production teams to integrate supplier components smoothly into processes. Offer expert technical support during product launches and engineering changes, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills. Nurture strong supplier relationships, fostering open communication, responsiveness, and mutual growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred. Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills. Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, and the initiative to lead and influence stakeholders. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Supplier defect rate (PPM). Supplier on-time delivery performance. Root cause analysis closure time. Supplier development progress. Successful implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Travel Requirements:
Domestic and occasional international travel to supplier sites as required.
