Energy Advisor – Cheltenham (Permanent)

Salary: £26,000 – £26,500 per annum (pro rata for part‑time). Full‑time and part‑time schedules (minimum three full days per week) are available.

The role is based in Cheltenham. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

• Provide one‑to‑one advice and support to households on energy issues.
• Advocate with energy suppliers to resolve problems and secure positive outcomes.
• Help clients access grants, funding and support schemes.
• Build relationships with local organisations and referral partners.
• Deliver talks, outreach sessions and attend community events.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes.
• Ensure services are delivered safely, professionally and in line with safeguarding requirements.

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or communities.
• Strong problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills.
• Independent worker who can manage own workload.
• Excellent communication and record‑keeping skills.
• Empathetic, organised and confident communicator.
• Prior experience in community work, advice services, housing, support work, welfare, customer advocacy or the charity sector.
• Knowledge of energy, housing or community support services is advantageous but not essential.

• Must live in the Cheltenham area.
• A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are essential.
