About the roleA rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join our fast-paced and supportive Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Assessment team.
The Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) team undertakes social care assessments for individuals identified by reablement teams as having longer-term care and support needs. For this reason, the PEI assessment team is often the first team to undertake a social care assessment, and you are often the first social worker they have met. The team undertakes Care Act assessments, supports unpaid carers through strengths-based conversations and planning, and helps individuals access the right support at the earliest opportunity.
You will hold a case load and also support duty on a rotational basis screening referrals into our team and supporting team members with case discussions.
We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Cambridgeshire and want our workforce to be reflective of this diversity, which we believe benefits our employees, the organisation and our communities
Interviews will be held during the week commencing 16 November 2026.
