Transport Supervisor

Our client, a well-established and growing business operating within a specialist equipment and logistics environment, based in Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.

The successful Transport Supervisor should have:

• Demonstrable experience in a transport, logistics or fleet supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, vehicle compliance and route planning
• Proven experience managing and motivating drivers or transport teams
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence; HGV/CPC qualifications would be advantageous

In this role, the Transport Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise fleet efficiency
• Managing in-house drivers and subcontracted transport providers, ensuring safety and compliance
• Coordinating deliveries and collections of specialist equipment and associated products
• Overseeing vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and driver compliance
• Monitoring transport KPIs, costs and performance, identifying opportunities for operational improvement

Our client is offering the successful Transport Supervisor a salary in the region of £35,000 - £40,000, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, alongside the opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation.
