To assist the Finance Manager by preparing standard journals, reconciliations, reports etc, ready for review.
FINANCE- Maintaining accounting records.
- Preparing and processing (once approved) journals and reference data on ledger.
- Reconciling balance sheet items.
- Settling payments in line with relevant delegated authorities and monitoring/resolving outstanding invoices/statements.
- Issuing sales invoices/statements and monitoring/chasing/resolving outstanding balances.
- Receipts – banking and matching to debts.
- Monitoring cash movements and balances.
- Maintaining electronic bank link, in line with relevant delegated authorities.
- Assist in preparation and distribution (once approved) the following deliverables:
- Management accounts, dashboards and key performance/risk indicators
- Cash analysis and forecasts
- Levies.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with wider Flood re team and third parties.
- Ensure procedures and controls are documented, followed, reviewed and updated.
- Commit to own personal development.
- Ensure you comply with information security rules.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks.
- Part qualified AAT or qualified by experience.
- Able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines, even when they conflict.
- Good communicator and team player with a committed, professional and positive attitude.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience of general insurance finance.
- Good knowledge of SUN/Q&A accounting software, SIIAssist and internet banking.
