Description
The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training:
Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination. - Upon hire:
National Registered Technologist - Sonography, or - Upon hire:
National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in assisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
- Experience with electronic medical databases, like Epic.
