Job Overview

COOK – Full‑time position at Morrison Living, Chenay Care Center, 2219 North 6th Street, Cheney, WA 99004. Hours vary with weekends required. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. Free shift meals and a chef coat are provided.

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation; taste all prepared items.
• Use ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate service records.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, refrigerators, and storerooms; discard or store excess food per safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform duties safely, keeping a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance.
• Maintain a personal commitment to safety for self and others.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate gloves, mitts, slip‑resistant shoes, and safe lifting techniques.

• Previous cooking experience required.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
