As a Campus Police Officer, you will perform a wide range of general law enforcement duties to protect life and property, enforce laws and ordinances, maintain public order, and proactively prevent, investigate, and respond to criminal activity. Officers play a vital role in building positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting EWU’s mission of learning and inclusion.

Salary Range: $70,812 (minimum) to $95,220 (maximum)
Starting salary is commensurate with education, experience, and demonstrated skills.

• High school graduation or GED
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Valid driver’s license
• No previous felony convictions
• Two years of full time college in Police Science or allied field OR one year of police or campus security experience.
• Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications, except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
• Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public.
