We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent (EA) to support U.S. federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and tax advisory services for individuals and businesses. The role involves hands-on tax preparation, planning, client advisory, and collaboration with accounting teams.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S).
- Provide accounting support including review of books, reconciliations, and tax-ready financials.
- Support tax planning initiatives for individuals and businesses.
- Handle real estate tax planning including rental properties, depreciation, and entity structuring.
- Assist with business brokerage tax planning including transaction support and tax impact analysis.
- Prepare and review informational returns (Forms 1099, 1096, FBAR, FATCA where applicable).
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and represent clients before tax authorities.
- Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting teams to ensure accurate filings.
- Maintain organized tax work papers and documentation.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and ensure quality and compliance.
- Stay updated on U.S. tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Pursue or support potential certifications or continuing education related to U.S. taxation.
Qualifications
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license issued by the IRS.
- 3+ years of hands-on U.S. tax preparation experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws.
- Experience handling IRS notices and client representation.
- Proficiency with U.S. tax software (Drake, Pro Series, Ultra Tax, Lacerte, or similar).
Required Skills
- Experience working with U.S.
-based CPA or accounting firms.
- Exposure to international tax filings (FBAR, FATCA, Form 8938).
- Familiarity with Quick Books Online and accounting workflows.
- Experience reviewing or mentoring junior tax staff.
