About the Company Wise Monkey Rum is an alcoholic beverage / spirits brand. We are looking for a qualified and reliable  Accountant  who can also handle the day-to-day responsibilities of an accountant.
Important:  Since this role is with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company, only candidates who are fully comfortable working with an alcohol brand should apply.

Role Overview We are hiring a  Accountant  who can manage the company’s accounting, compliance, taxation, financial reporting, and general finance-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, trustworthy, organised, and capable of handling both CA-level responsibilities and regular accounting work.
This is a hands-on role. The person should not only advise but also actively manage accounts, documentation, filings, and financial records.

Key Responsibilities  Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the company
Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records
Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances
Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and accounting reports
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and ledgers
Handle invoices, purchase entries, sales entries, debit notes, credit notes, and expense records
Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance documents
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams
Monitor cash flow, payments, outstanding balances, and financial documentation
Support budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning
Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions
Assist management with financial decision-making and reporting
Handle general accountant duties whenever required
Requirements  Qualified Accountant
Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
Experience in handling company accounts independently
Good understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation
Ability to manage both CA-level work and regular accounting responsibilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Must be comfortable working with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company
Experience in FMCG, beverages, alcohol, distribution, or manufacturing will be an added advantage
Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, SAP, or similar tools will be preferred
Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is responsible, practical, and hands-on. The candidate should be able to take ownership of the accounts function and ensure that all financial records and compliance requirements are handled properly and on time.
This role is suitable for someone who can work independently, manage pressure, and maintain complete accuracy in financial work.
Salary ₹20,000 – ₹90,000 per month
Salary will be based on experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
