Role Description  This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Chennai. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. The role involves monitoring budgets, analyzing financial performance, and preparing reports for management to support decision-making.

The Senior Accountant will collaborate with internal teams, coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, and help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance review.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other relevant tools.
Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or CPA) are an advantage.
Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a similar senior or supervisory role.
