Role: Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Faculty – Global “AI First” Learning Academy As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Faculty within Perficient’s Global “AI First” Learning Academy, you will bring deep functional expertise in one or more of the Academy’s four pillars — AI Skills, Consulting & Professional Skills, Project Management & Delivery Excellence, and Leadership Development. You will play a strategic and instructional role, ensuring that learning solutions, whether developed internally, co-created with practice teams, or sourced from external partners, effectively address competency gaps and business needs.
This includes course design, curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and competency benchmarking. Beyond teaching, you will act as a coach, mentor, and advisor, guiding learners through structured journeys and applying your expertise to real-world problems. You may also engage with customers, RFP processes, and university collaborations, representing the Academy as a center of excellence for capability development and innovation.
Your mission : to design and deliver transformative learning experiences that bridge talent readiness, business performance, and the power of AI.
Core Responsibilities
1. Learning Architecture & Curriculum Design
• Develop and curate competency frameworks and detailed learning paths aligned to the specific functional pillar.
• Identify skill gaps and design learning solutions that address both foundational and advanced competencies.
• Create or source high-quality content — internal, partner-based, or external — ensuring alignment with Perficient’s business goals and global standards.
• Collaborate with internal SMEs, practice teams, and EdTech vendors to co-develop courses, case studies, and project-based learning experiences.
2. Course Development, Delivery & Assessment
• Lead end-to-end course lifecycle management — from ideation, instructional design, and content creation to delivery and learner assessment.
• Deliver live virtual and in-person sessions, workshops, and learning labs tailored to regional and global audiences.
• Develop and administer pre- and post-assessments to measure skill acquisition, behavioral change, and competency benchmarking.
• Leverage AI-based learning tools, simulations, and adaptive assessment models to personalize learner experience and feedback.
3. Collaboration with Partners & Universities
• Engage with EdTech platforms, universities, and certification bodies to identify or co-create specialized programs.
• Build relationships with academic and research institutions to develop executive and professional certification pathways.
• Manage vendor collaborations to ensure content quality, learning impact, and contractual adherence.
• Represent the Academy in professional learning networks, consortiums, and industry collaborations.
4. Mentorship, Coaching & Knowledge Application
• Act as a coach and mentor for employees seeking specialized upskilling or guided learning support.
• Facilitate project-based learning and mentor teams applying their skills in live projects or innovation challenges.
• Provide expert consultation to client teams and internal business units on leveraging learned competencies in delivery contexts.
• Serve as a problem solver and escalation point for learners and managers requiring domain-specific guidance or real-time solutions.
5. Business Enablement & External Engagement
• Participate in RFP responses, capability showcases, and client presentations as a representative of the Academy’s expertise.
• Develop case studies, whitepapers, and learning outcomes reports that highlight the Academy’s impact on business transformation.
• Work with sales, delivery, and marketing teams to position the Academy as a differentiator in talent and capability development.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) — learning impact, certification success, competency progression, and ROI.
Qualifications &
Experience:
• Master’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Management, Data Science, Behavioral Sciences, or a domain aligned with one of the four Academy pillars.
