Conduct classroom and one-on-one observations to identify students requiring special education support.
Administer diagnostic assessments to determine student needs and learning profiles.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and appropriate accommodations.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify lesson plans and provide differentiated learning strategies.
Maintain regular communication with parents, mainstream teachers, and external professionals regarding student progress.
Support teachers in understanding and implementing inclusive classroom practices.
Plan and conduct remediation sessions focusing on academic, social, and behavioral development.
Maintain updated records, documentation, and progress reports for each student.
Conduct workshops or awareness sessions for staff to enhance inclusion and sensitivity toward learners with special needs.
Participate actively in professional development, SEN team meetings, and whole-school initiatives related to inclusive education.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Psychology from a recognized institution.
B.Ed. in Special Education; M.Ed. in Special Education preferred.
RCI registration is an added advantage.
Professional teacher education qualification meeting school or state standards.
Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Special Educator, preferably in an inclusive or IB school setting.
Demonstrated understanding of individualized instruction, behavior management, and differentiated learning techniques.
Proficient in using technology-based tools and assistive software for special education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
