Position: Associate Director / Director – Data Science Operations
Opportunity to:
Lead and manage a cross-functional team of data scientists, consultants, and analysts on production-level data science projects.
Drive end-to-end delivery operations, including planning, execution, quality assurance, and deployment.
Partner with business stakeholders in the Retail sector to translate requirements into actionable data science solutions.
Ensure scalability, robustness, and efficiency in production deployments of machine learning and analytical models.
Implement governance frameworks, best practices, and continuous improvement for Data Science Operations (DS Ops).
Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical growth and operational excellence.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align data science capabilities with business strategy.

Skills & Experience:

Proven track record in Data Science Operations and leading large-scale production projects.
Strong experience in managing teams of data scientists and consultants.
Excellent stakeholder management, project governance, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Good To Have
Strong background in Retail domain use cases:
Pricing optimization
Promotions effectiveness
Recommendation systems
Hands-on exposure to Python and PySpark.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and ML model deployment.
Qualifications &

Experience:

12+ years of total experience with at least 5+ years in Data Science Operations leadership.
Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Prior experience in Retail/CPG domains highly desirable.
