JOB SUMMARY

This job plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing software robots (bots) to automate repetitive tasks within organizations. Their job scope usually encompasses the entire RPA development lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

Analysis and Design:

• Process Identification and Analysis:
Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to identify suitable processes for automation based on feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and potential impact.

• Workflow Design:
Map out the chosen processes step-by-step, defining the actions and logic the bot will follow.

• RPA Tool Selection:
Evaluate and choose the most suitable RPA platform based on project requirements, functionalities, and integration needs.

Development and Implementation:

• Bot Development:
Build the software robots using the chosen RPA platform, writing scripts, handling user interfaces, and configuring settings.

• Integration:
Integrate the bots with existing systems and applications seamlessly to ensure data exchange and functionality.

• Security Implementation:
Implement security measures within the bots to protect data integrity and control access.

• Testing and Debugging:
Conduct thorough testing to ensure the bots function accurately, reliably, and efficiently, debugging any errors or issues.

Deployment and Maintenance:

• Production Deployment:
Deploy the bots into production environments following established procedures and change management protocols.

• Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor the performance of the bots in production, identifying and resolving any problems promptly.

• Updates and Optimization:
Perform regular updates and maintenance to keep the bots functioning optimally and adapt to changing business needs.

• Performance Analysis:
Analyze bot performance data to identify opportunities for further optimization and improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Knowledge Sharing:
Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and stakeholders within the organization.

• Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest RPA trends, technologies, and platform advancements through training and research.

Ability to work in shift till 12 midnight IST. Work in Hybrid is provided.

EXPERIENCE

Required

• 6 – 10 years’ experience

Preferred

• 1- 2 years in the Health Insurance Industry

SKILLS

• RPA Platform Expertise:
Knowledge in Automation Anywhere is crucial. Gaining deep understanding of their functionalities, features, and limitations is essential.

• Process Flow Automation using Python

• Basic Programming:
While most RPA tools are visual and low-code, knowledge of languages like C#, Visual Basic, and Java opens doors. These skills enable you to handle complex tasks, write custom scripts, and interact with external systems programmatically. Python is especially valuable for advanced scripting and data manipulation.

• Web Development Fundamentals:
If you deal with web-based automation, familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript becomes crucial. Understanding the Document Object Model (DOM) helps navigate dynamic elements and web application intricacies.

• Debugging and Testing:
You'll need strong skills in identifying, analyzing, and fixing issues within your automations. Familiarity with testing frameworks and best practices (like unit testing, integration testing, and acceptance testing) ensures robust and reliable bots.

Additional Desirable

Skills:

• Database Knowledge:
Knowing SQL helps you query databases, extract data, and integrate it with your automations, enhancing functionality.

• API Testing Tools:
Familiarity with tools like Postman allows you to easily interact with various back-end systems through APIs, improving the scope of your automations.
