Technical Delivery Lead – Data Engineering (Offshore | Chennai)

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to drive offshore delivery of large-scale AWS data platforms with a strong focus on streaming ingestion and CDC pipelines. This role requires end-to-end ownership—from design to production cutover—while collaborating with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of Kafka/MSK CDC pipelines using Debezium, Kafka Streams, and Flink (exactly-once processing).
- Drive bronze-to-silver data transformations on S3 using Iceberg, aligned with Common Data Models (CDM).
- Manage offshore delivery teams (Data Engineers, AWS Architects, QA) using Agile/Kanban, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Own delivery risks including data quality, performance SLAs, schema evolution, and source system dependencies.
- Implement observability & monitoring (Cloud Watch, Open Telemetry, xMatters).
- Ensure security & governance using IAM, VPC endpoints, and Lake Formation.
- Conduct design reviews, production cutovers, and handovers with global teams.
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years in AWS-based data platforms
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Kafka/MSK streaming & CDC
- Strong expertise in:
- Kafka (idempotent producers/consumers, schema registry)
- AWS Glue, Flink, S3, Iceberg
- PySpark, SQL, Data Quality frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations)
- IAM, cross-account roles, Lake Formation
- Proven experience leading offshore delivery for US clients (Financial Services preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech or equivalent
- AWS certifications (Data Analytics / Cloud Practitioner preferred)
