Service Now Architect

Role Overview

The Service Now Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the Service Now platform to align with business objectives and enterprise IT strategy. This role ensures scalable, secure, and best-practice implementations across ITSM and other Service Now modules.

Key Responsibilities

- Define the overall Service Now architecture, roadmap, and technical standards
- Design scalable solutions across Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, and CMDB
- Act as the primary technical authority for Service Now platform decisions
- Lead platform governance, upgrade strategy, and instance management (dev/test/prod)
- Ensure adherence to Service Now best practices, performance, security, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical designs
- Review and approve solution designs, integrations, and customizations
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across projects
- Support presales, solutioning, and RFP responses when required

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years on Service Now platform
- Strong expertise in Service Now architecture, data model, CMDB, and integrations
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Service Now implementations

- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, SSO, LDAP, and MID Server
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks

Certifications (Preferred / Required)

- Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – preferred
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM or other modules)
- ITIL v3/v4 certification
