Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled  Network Engineer  with strong expertise in  Routing, Switching, and Firewall management  to support enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with  Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco FPR firewalls , and proven skills in  monitoring, troubleshooting, and managing large-scale WAN/LAN infrastructures .

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN networks to ensure high availability and SLA compliance.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot  Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewall devices  (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco FPR).
Implement, review, and maintain  network security policies, NAT, ACLs, and VPN configurations .
Perform  routing and switching operations  including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLAN, STP, HSRP, Ether Channel, and Inter-VLAN routing.
Work on  network monitoring tools  like Solar Winds, PRTG, HP NNM, DNAC, or similar for proactive alerting and issue resolution.
Collaborate with  ISPs and vendors  for troubleshooting and escalation of network issues.
Handle  incident management and ticketing  in tools such as Service Now, ensuring timely resolution of P1/P2 incidents.
Participate in  network upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements  while minimizing downtime.
Maintain  network documentation  including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with security standards and assist in  firewall and network audits .
Required

Skills & Experience:

Experience:

5+ years in enterprise networking and security.
Strong knowledge of  Routing & Switching protocols : OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP.
Hands-on experience with  Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco FPR , and basic Fortinet exposure.
Solid experience with  LAN/WAN technologies , VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, HSRP, Ether Channel, Inter-VLAN routing.
Network monitoring tools :
Solar Winds, PRTG, HP NNM, DNAC, , or similar.
Troubleshooting skills  for both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
Working knowledge of  SD-WAN, MPLS, QoS, VPNs, NAT, DMZ .
Familiarity with  ticketing and ITSM tools  (Service Now or similar).
Excellent  communication skills , problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.
Educational

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in  Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related field .
CCNA mandatory; CCNP or firewall certifications preferred.
Nice-to-Have:
Hands-on experience with  Cisco DNA Center, Meraki, Fortinet, or Checkpoint Firewalls .

Experience with  data center network operations  and network automation tools.
Exposure to  security incident response and firewall rule auditing .
