Data Governance Manager

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
12+ years of total and 8+ years of progressive experience in data management, data governance, or related roles.
Strong understanding of Banking and Financial Services domains, including familiarity with enterprise data assets and regulatory requirements.
Experience in client consulting on data governance solutions, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and processes to meet business needs and strategic objectives.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive data governance programs, including establishing data stewardship models, roles, and accountabilities.
In-depth knowledge of core data governance pillars: metadata management, data quality management, master data management, and data security management.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
Demonstrated aptitude for rapid learning and adoption of emerging data governance technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
Proven ability to integrate new techniques and technologies to address complex data challenges, drive a culture of data stewardship, and unlock the strategic value of data assets.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to implement data governance frameworks effectively
Proven experience designing and operationalizing data governance processes at scale, including the use of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness.
Good appreciation of data architecture principles, data science concepts, and how data governance enables analytics and AI/machine learning initiatives.

Experience with cloud data governance and managing data in multi-cloud environments will be an advantage.
