We're looking for a driven Inside Sales Lead in Chennai to own sales performance and lead a small, high-impact team selling into the US market.
This is a Player-Coach role — you'll carry your own number and develop the people around you.
About Applova Applova champions restaurants with innovative SaaS solutions — POS systems, mobile ordering apps, web ordering, and self-service kiosks — that boost customer engagement and streamline operations. Headquartered in the USA, we're growing our Chennai team to bring our mission to life.
The Opportunity As Inside Sales Lead, you'll connect with US restaurant owners, pitch our solutions, and close deals — while also coaching and managing a team of 4–5 inside sales representatives. You'll have real ownership: of your pipeline, your team's performance, and your career trajectory.
What You'll Do
As an Individual Contributor:
- Identify and engage US restaurant owners, selling Applova's SaaS solutions via phone, email, and virtual demos
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
- Meet and exceed personal KPIs for revenue, pipeline, and client retention
- Maintain accurate records in Zoho CRM
As a Team Lead:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 4–5 inside sales representatives
- Set team targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular coaching sessions
- Build repeatable sales processes and playbooks for the team
- Collaborate with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and team strategy
What We're Looking For
- Experience:
5–8 years in B2B SaaS or tech sales, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead or senior sales role
- US Market Knowledge:
Experience selling to US customers, ideally in restaurant tech, payments, or hospitality SaaS
- Sales
Skills:
Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close deals remotely
- Leadership:
Comfortable coaching others while still carrying personal targets
- Communication:
Exceptional spoken and written English; confident on calls and virtual demos
- Tools:
Familiarity with CRM platforms (Zoho preferred)
- Schedule:
Ability to work aligned to US business hours (EST/PST)
