We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with 4–6 years of experience in data warehouse and ETL testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy across source and target systems, and verifying complex data transformations. The role involves writing advanced SQL queries, performing data validation, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data delivery.

Skills:
Strong expertise in SQL and data validation techniques.
Experience with ETL testing and Data Warehouse testing.
Experience in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Data Stage, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts (facts, dimensions, star schema, snowflake schema).
Experience with source-to-target data validation and data reconciliation.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, or Test Rail.
Experience working with large datasets and complex data transformations.
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands for job validation and log analysis.

Ability to identify data discrepancies and root causes.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to mentor junior team members.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Good to Have:
Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
Knowledge of automation or scripting using Python or Shell.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements, data models, and ETL specifications to understand data flow and transformation logic.
Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ETL workflows.
Perform source-to-target data validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Write complex SQL queries to validate large datasets and perform data reconciliation.
Validate data transformations, data loading processes, and ETL job executions.
Conduct data quality testing including null checks, duplicate checks, data integrity, and consistency validations.
Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
Perform regression testing, system integration testing (SIT), and end-to-end data validation.
Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve data-related issues.
Support UAT testing, production validation, and data migration testing.
Review test cases and mentor junior testers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
