We are seeking a highly experienced SAP MM Application Consultant with over 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Materials Management and related modules. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and is passionate about delivering scalable, secure, and optimized SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Resolve SAP MM production issues by triaging helpdesk tickets, logging incidents, and providing timely resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and design effective solutions.
Create and maintain functional design documents for application enhancements and interface development.
Configure SAP MM processes and develop test plans, ensuring thorough testing and documentation.
Support procurement-related security configurations and design within SAP MM.
Lead SAP MM implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
Provide off-hours or weekend support for critical business incidents as needed.
Manage and optimize SAP Material Master data and support data migration and cutover activities.
Build and present user guides for Integrated and Stand-alone Business Processes related to Material Master.
Troubleshoot issues in material master data conversion from legacy systems to SAP.
Deliver SAP solutions in procurement, inventory, and warehouse management.
Configure MM processes like PR, PO, MRP, GR/IR, and work on EWM deployment and RF integration.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of experience as an SAP MM Consultant with full lifecycle implementation exposure.
10+ years of SAP MM design and configuration experience with integration across core modules (FI, SD, PP, WM, etc.).
3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Ariba (Guided Buying, e-Sourcing, Catalog).
Strong knowledge of procurement processes and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) functionality.
Experience in SAP Activate methodology and Fit-to-Standard approach.
Expertise in SAP MM configuration including vendor/material master, procurement workflows, pricing, and tax.
Experience with EDI/IDOC integration, B2B interfaces, and SAP custom enhancements (BAPIs, BADIs, user exits).
Strong understanding of material planning, MRP, consignment, subcontracting, and special procurement scenarios.
Experience in defining Master Data Strategy, Data Governance, and MDM Architecture.
SAP Certified MM Consultant (current certification preferred).
Basic ABAP debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP SRM, Ariba, or other procurement solutions.
Exposure to co-products, by-products, and batch management.
Familiarity with SAP EWM, RF integration, and logistics execution.
Strong documentation skills including process flows, configuration guides, and training materials.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
