Must-Have
7+ years of professional experience experience in data science
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related IT field
Prior experience in Data engineering / Retail functions is preferred.
Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling

Experience with Big data tools, Tableau, Pyspark, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python)
Experience in Machine learning – Data Classification, Regression analysis, clustering, etc.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Good-to-Have
Business-first mindset
Experience working with Cloud technology (Azure experience preferred. Candidates with Azure Dev Ops and/or Azure Architecture certifications preferred)
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects

Experience with continuous improvement to deliver solutions that are at the forefront of industry leading techniques while also adhering to best practices.
Ability to lead a technical group in solving problems and moving forward
Experience developing and tuning Pyspark /MS SQL / Postgre

SQL queries

Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum) and software development life cycles
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to work with messy, incomplete data
Prioritization under tight business timelines (daily/weekly decisions)
