Must-Have
Key Responsibilities:
User management:
Create, modify and manage database users, roles and privileges.
Ensure security compliance and access control across the environment.
Space & Tablespace management:
Monitor table spaces, manage datafiles, perform space allocation, resizing and capacity planning.
Performance Tuning & SQL Optimization:
Analyse AWR/ASH reports, identify top SQL queries, tune SQL queries and improve the database performance.
RMAN Backup & Recovery:
Perform full/incremental backups, restoration, recover and validate backup integrity.
Manage retention policies and recovery catalog.
Database Refresh & Migration:
Handle export/import using Data Pump, perform schema/database refresh and support migration activities across the environments.
Data Guard Administration:
Configure and maintain standby databases, monitor sync, perform switchover/failover.
Ticket Handling & Production Support:
Handle tickets, troubleshoot issues and ensure SLA compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Oracle DBA activities.
Handson experience in RMAN backup & recovery .
Experience in performance tuning and SQL Optimization, Oracle database installation and migration and data guard configuration.
Scripting: Power Shell, UNIX shell scripting.
Experience Level: Typically, 6–8 years in database administration.
Good-to-Have
Knowledge of MsSQL, MySQL & Postgre
SQL Basics.
Experience with additional cloud DB engines (AWS RDS, AWS EC2, Azure).
Exposure to monitoring tools:
Cloud Watch, Solar Winds, OEM, Commvault backup tool, SCOM.
