Brief Description about the role
Growth Product are responsible for driving sustainable business growth by optimizing the customer journey across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, referral, and monetization. They leverage customer insights, data analytics, experimentation, and product innovation to identify growth opportunities and improve key business metrics.
As the voice of the customer and the business, Growth Product Managers work closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, CRM, and Business teams to build and optimize product experiences that accelerate user growth and maximize customer lifetime value across mobile apps, mobile web, and desktop platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
Own and drive key growth metrics across the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, referral, and revenue.
Identify growth opportunities through customer research, behavioral analysis, funnel diagnostics, and market intelligence.
Develop growth hypotheses and design data-driven experiments to improve conversion and business outcomes.
Create and maintain a growth roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
Product & Experimentation
Define product requirements and work with UX teams to create wireframes, prototypes, and optimized user journeys.
Lead A/B testing and experimentation initiatives to validate ideas and drive continuous product improvement.
Optimize onboarding, engagement, subscription, and monetization funnels through iterative product enhancements.
Drive personalization and recommendation strategies to improve user experience and conversion rates.
Data & Analytics
Partner with Analytics teams to establish measurement frameworks, track KPIs, and generate actionable insights.
Monitor product performance and growth metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.
Use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize opportunities and influence product decisions.
Cross-functional Leadership
Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Marketing, CRM, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success teams to execute growth initiatives.
Ensure seamless alignment between product strategy, customer experience, and business goals.
Drive end-to-end execution and delivery of growth-focused product initiatives.
Customer & Market Understanding
Develop a deep understanding of customer behavior, motivations, and pain points.
Stay updated on industry trends, consumer internet best practices, competitor strategies, and emerging growth techniques.
Champion customer-centric product thinking across the organization.
Skill and Competencies
Strong understanding of growth frameworks including Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue (AARRR).
Deep customer empathy and ability to translate insights into scalable product solutions.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation and experimentation methodologies.
Experience in A/B testing, funnel optimization, cohort analysis, and growth experimentation.
Excellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer experience and commercial outcomes.
Ability to independently drive initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Understanding of consumer internet products, mobile ecosystems, and digital marketing channels.
Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
Education and Experience
Engineering Graduate with MBA from a reputed institution preferred.
3–6 years of experience in Product Management, Growth Product Management, or Digital Product roles within Consumer Internet, E-commerce, Marketplace, Subscription, SaaS, Dating, Social, or Digital Platform businesses.
Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in customer acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion, or revenue metrics.
Experience working in high-growth startups or consumer technology companies will be preferred.
