Role Summary
We are seeking a Workday Technical Consultant specializing in Talent Management to join our enterprise applications team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end configuration, technical deployment, and system optimization of Workday’s Talent, Performance, and

Career development suites. The ideal candidate will bridge functional talent strategies with deep hands-on technical configuration to build seamless, automated lifecycle experiences for our global workforce.

Key Responsibilities
Talent
Module-Specific Responsibilities
Technical Configuration:
Drive end-to-end configuration for Workday Talent Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Career Development, and Goal Management.
Business Process Engineering:
Architect, configure, and maintain complex Workday Business Processes (BPs) including Performance Reviews, Talent Assessments, Calibration, and Development Plans.
Advanced Logic & Condition Rules:
Design complex condition rules and validation rules within talent workflows to support diverse regional matrices and business unit requirements.
Security Design:
Define and maintain domain and functional area security policies specific to sensitive talent profiles, performance ratings, and potential scores.
System Upgrades & Testing:
Lead technical validation and regression testing in the Sandbox environment during Workday's semi-annual feature releases.
Payroll
Payroll Configuration:  Lead the design, technical configuration, and testing of Workday US Payroll modules, including custom Earnings, Pre/Post-Tax Deductions, and custom Accumulators.
Calculation Engine Tuning:  Build and maintain complex calculation logic, using calculated fields and placeholders within the Workday calculation framework to support corporate bonus cycles, garnishments, and retroactive pay adjustments.
US Tax Administration:  Configure and maintain US tax setups, including Federal, State (SUI/SIT), and Local Tax Districts, ensuring seamless compliance with automatic quarterly tax updates (BSI updates).
Retro & Off-Cycle Management:  Manage the technical setup, execution, and troubleshooting of Retroactive Payroll processes, On-Demand payments, and manual check overrides.
General Ledger & Settlement:  Configure and audit Account Posting Rules (GL mapping) linking payroll results to the finance system. Technical setup of Settlement Runs for ACH direct deposits and check printing formats.
Advanced Reporting & EIBs:  Create advanced, matrix, and audit reports using complex calculated fields for payroll reconciliations, payroll tax filings, and Year-End W-2 auditing. Utilize Inbound EIBs for mass payroll adjustments.

Change Request & Enhancement Management
Analyze and estimate Change Requests (CRs)
Prepare design and configuration approach documents
Perform system configurations and functional testing
Conduct Unit Testing and support UAT activities
Participate in peer reviews and quality validations
Coordinate production deployments and post-production validation
Governance & Operational Support
Follow established governance and change management processes
Ensure proper documentation and audit compliance
Maintain configuration documents and KT artifacts
Participate in release management and regression testing activities
Support system maintenance and tenant stability initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s/masters degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5–7 years of hands-on Workday configuration and support experience.
Strong functional knowledge and configuration expertise in at least three of the following modules:
Talent/Performance, combination of multiple module will be an advantage
Proven experience supporting at least 4 Merit/ACR cycles, and Performance Management launches.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Workday Certified optional.
Experience working in a global or multi-country Workday environment.
Previous consulting or implementation partner experience.
