About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist III to lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that drive strategic business outcomes. This role will work closely with senior business leaders to identify high-impact opportunities, develop scalable predictive models, and translate complex data into actionable insights across Sales, Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, mentor junior team members, and help shape the organization's AI and analytics roadmap.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end data science projects from problem definition through deployment and business adoption.
- Develop advanced predictive, prescriptive, and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
- Design forecasting solutions for demand planning, sales forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize high-value analytics initiatives.
- Drive experimentation, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Mentor and guide junior Data Scientists and Analysts.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to build scalable analytics solutions.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor model performance and ensure continuous improvement of deployed solutions.
- Support the adoption of Generative AI and emerging technologies across business functions.
- Contribute to the development of enterprise analytics standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or AI.
- Demonstrated experience delivering data science solutions that generated measurable business impact.
- Experience leading projects and working directly with senior business stakeholders.

Required Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, Tensor Flow, or PyTorch.
- Experience developing and deploying production-grade machine learning solutions.
- Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, optimization, and experimentation techniques.

- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.

- Experience with cloud-based analytics environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills.
- Ability to translate business challenges into scalable analytical solutions.

- Experience with in FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, or Supply Chain environments preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Time-series forecasting and demand planning.
- Supply chain and logistics optimization.
- NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI applications.
- MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model monitoring.
- Operations Research and optimization techniques.
- Data engineering concepts and big data technologies.
- Experience leading analytics initiatives in large organizations.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior data professionals.
