Job Overview
We are seeking a Field Engineer with hands-on experience in networking, VSAT installations, Wi-Fi deployment, and technical field support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for site surveys, installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site surveys for networking, VSAT, Wi-Fi, passive cabling, and communication infrastructure projects.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot VSAT systems and related hardware.
Deploy and support routers, switches, and SD-WAN devices.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi networks and connectivity solutions.
Perform installation and support of video conferencing systems and related equipment.
Carry out preventive maintenance and on-site troubleshooting activities.
Support hardware installations, replacements, and basic fault resolution.
Assist with infrastructure-related work including cabling, power, UPS, and allied technical systems.
Prepare and submit daily activity reports, service reports, and status updates.
Coordinate with project, operations, and support teams for timely issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
Mandatory
Hands-on experience in:
VSAT Installation & Support
Router & Switch Installation
Wi-Fi Deployment & Troubleshooting
Hardware Installation & Field Support
Basic understanding of SD-WAN technologies.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and connectivity troubleshooting.
Ability to diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues.
Preferred
Experience with Passive LAN Cabling.
Exposure to Video Conferencing Solutions.
Knowledge of Electrical Systems, UPS, and AC Installations.
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure deployments.
Education
Diploma, BE,
B.Tech, or equivalent technical qualification.
Desired Candidate Profile
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently in field environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
Willingness to travel extensively for project and support activities.
Flexible to work as per project schedules and site requirements.
Basic documentation and reporting skills.
Candidates based in Chennai or Delhi preferred.
Preferred Certifications
Networking Certifications (CCNA or equivalent) - Advantageous.
VSAT, Wi-Fi, or Infrastructure-related certifications - Advantageous.
