Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer (Dev Ops) with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale Dev Ops and Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS Cloud, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, containerization, and cloud-native architecture. This role will be responsible for driving Dev Ops transformation, establishing best practices, and ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.
Essential Functions:
Design and implement enterprise-wide Dev Ops architecture and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Define and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform.
Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
Establish Dev Sec Ops practices, security controls, and compliance standards across platforms.
Design high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance strategies.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to streamline software delivery.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for proactive issue management.
Define governance, standards, and best practices for Dev Ops and cloud operations.
Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership for Dev Ops transformation programs.
Evaluate emerging cloud and Dev Ops technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Competencies,
Skills and Abilities:
15+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in Dev Ops and Cloud Architecture roles.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation and modernization programs.
Experience in large-scale digital transformation projects.
Cloud Platforms
Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Hands-on experience with: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, Cloud Watch, Route 53, API Gateway, AWS Security Services
Infrastructure as Code
Expert-level experience in Terraform
Module development and reusable infrastructure frameworks
State management and environment orchestration
CI/CD & Automation
Extensive experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using:
Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, AWS Code Pipeline
Build and deployment automation practices
Containerization & Orchestration
Docker, Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Helm Charts, Container Security
Monitoring & Observability
Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk
Scripting & Programming
Python, Shell Scripting, Power Shell (preferred)
Security & Compliance
Dev Sec Ops implementation, Security automation, Vulnerability management
IAM governance, Compliance frameworks and audit readiness
AI Enablement
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted development and operations tools to improve software delivery, operational efficiency, system reliability, and engineering productivity.
Ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-enabled Dev Ops capabilities across the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident management.
Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
